With the help of Results Based Accountability TM and Clear Impact Scorecard, YWCA NSW, a not-for-profit organization which supports vulnerable people in New South Wales at times in their lives when they need it most, shows communities in Australia how to break the cycle of disadvantage which so easily transfers from one generation to another. Each year the organization works with more than 30,000 people across four main regions, aiming for deeper rather than broader impact.

Clear Impact and the scorecard have already helped YWCA NSW measure the following statistics between FY 2009/10–FY 2013/14:

  • A 257 percent increase in clients served through the literacy and numeracy programs for six- to 12-year-olds;
  • A 115 percent increase in keeping young people engaged in education and learning; and
  • A 211 percent increase in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients since 2010.

Over the course of its Kids, Family, Community program YWCA NSW also found that more than 80 percent of students reported increased awareness of the importance of and how to conduct respectful relationships and increased skills to assess risk, identify abuse and neglect and report abuse.
