Session Description:

Summary: United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County will tell their story of utilizing the Results Based Accountability framework to set a countywide Children’s Agenda known as ReadyKidSA (RKSA) (www.readykidsa.com).  United Way and key partners have set the foundation for dynamic change for children in neighborhoods and the community at large all focused on results driven by data and collaboration. As a result of a U.S. Department of Education Promise Neighborhood grant, an Annie E. Casey Foundation two-generation demonstration grant and MIECHV funding from the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services, PEI Division, the Bexar County Children’s Agenda and its shared metrics have been endorsed by community leaders, stakeholders, and residents. The ReadyKidSA Coalition is a broad reaching coalition of organizations that utilized the RBA process over six months to develop a collaborative, sustainable, and innovative continuum of wraparound supports that promote the six Protective Factors to prevent child abuse and neglect in families, targeting children 0-8 years of age.
