Ameena Batada, DrPH, is associate professor of health and wellness at the University of North Carolina at Asheville in Western North Carolina. Ameena’s interests include child health, health policy, contemplative inquiry, health disparities, and community health. Much of her recent work focuses on community-campus collaborations that involve undergraduate students in supporting local organizations with health assessments, evaluation, and research for advocacy.
