Terri Zimmerman March, BSN, MPH brings over 30 years of experience in the public health field with expertise in community collaboration and coalition development, community assessment, program planning and health communications.  Her professional experience includes working with local health departments and providing training and technical support for state and regional organizations. Terri is a trained Results Based Accountability facilitator for the Buncombe County Community Health Improvement Process.

Since 2004 and continuing with her current work as a Health Improvement Specialist at the Mountain Area Health Education, she has worked with a broad range local community partners to prevent and reduce chronic disease through activities directed at policy and environmental change efforts to address social determinants of health. She supports these efforts by using data to guide the collective work; identifying shared outcomes and collaborative strategies; identifying gaps and evidence-based strategies to address priorities and advocating for policies that improve the health of all who live and work in Buncombe County.

She holds an MPH in Health Education and Health Behavior from the UNC – Chapel Hill School of Public Health
