“The wonderful thing about Clear Impact and the Results-Based Accountability Framework is it really helps us focus on the most important aspects of our work, and it keeps us accountable…We’ve been able to translate that to tremendous success in terms of programmatic outcomes, in terms of client outcomes, and in terms of financial and funding outcomes as well.”

We have surpassed milestones and records that have been 55 years in the making. We’re a 55-year-old organization, and we’ve raised more money; we’ve had a more substantive impact in the community; and we’ve done more work in the last three years than we’ve ever done before as an organization…And that’s because we’ve been able to focus on the most important things. We’ve been able to ask the hard questions, to let go of some things that were frankly holding us back and distracting us and really understand more clearly our role in the community and how we can lean into that expertise…And Clear Impact has really helped us have the language to communicate why we’re doing that to our stakeholders more effectively.
Daniel leads Lions Vision Services as President and Chief Executive Officer, overseeing program service delivery in all 46 South Carolina Counties, setting and implementing the strategic vision for the organization (along with the Board), and leading the organization’s fundraising and external affairs. He is the fifth and youngest CEO in the organization’s more than 50-year history.
Daniel joined the LVS staff in 2020. Since then, he has founded the Palmetto Vision Alliance, created a statewide vision health program with multiple agencies, overseen the implementation of the Entrepreneurial Operating System and Results Based Accountability framework, managed the Santee Blind Fishing Event, and secured the “Angels Charity” award from the South Carolina Secretary of State. In his ten plus years as a Lions Club member, Daniel also served on the LVS Board of Directors, including as Chairman, prior to being hired as staff.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, a Master’s Degree in Philanthropy and Development, the Certified Fund Raising Executive certification from CFRE International, is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina, and is a South Carolina Ports Ambassador.
In addition to his work at LVS, Daniel has served on many boards, steering committees, and commissions. He is currently District Governor Elect for Lions Clubs International District 32-C and Deacon of Multiplication at Great Commission Baptist Church. He was appointed to the Dorchester County Conservation & Greenbelt Advisory Commission in 2023 by Dorchester County Council. He is a member of professional associations including the Association for Christian Fundraising, SC Planned Giving Council, and CFRE International, among others. He is a frequent presenter, speaker, and consultant at nonprofit events throughout South Carolina.
He and his wife, Angel, live in Summerville with their two children, Joseph and Claire. They frequently visit State Parks. Daniel is studying to become an apprentice falconer and is Level 2 Certified by the National Association of Rocketry to fly high powered rockets.
We’ve used RBA to dramatically enhance our funding partnerships and our funding relationships…When you can connect that [passion] with an outcome, with an actual change in the community, you can really tap into another layer of generosity in people’s philanthropic interests and passions. So Clear Impact has really helped us with the technological and linguistic skills to better communicate that work to our stakeholders.
