Summary
In this episode of Conversations with Clear Impact, we speak with Maddie Turner, Community Health Improvement Consultant at the Eastern Area Health Education Center (AHEC) in North Carolina. She shares her journey into public health, her application of the Results-Based Accountability (RBA) framework, and how she’s using Clear Impact Scorecard to drive community health improvement across North Carolina. Maddie emphasizes the importance of training, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and data transparency.
Clear Impact Scorecard is not just a tool, it’s a strategy hub that connects people, data, and goals across organizations. It shows how individual programs contribute to community-level impact
Maddy has worked in the population health sector of public health for four years and is a recent Master of Public Health graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
In January 2024, she joined Eastern Area Health Education Center (EAHEC) as a Community Health Improvement Consultant. She will be primarily providing “hands-on” expertise statewide to hospitals/health systems and Healthy People/Healthy Communities (HPHCs) to support the implementation of the Results-Based Accountability™ (RBA) framework, track progress, and tell the story of how these organizations improve the lives of North Carolinians. She will also work closely with NC DHHS/DPH, the NC Healthcare Association Foundation, and The Duke Endowment.
Prior to joining EAHEC she moved from California to North Carolina in 2020 to pursue the opportunity to serve as a Public Health Associate with the Center of Disease Control and Prevention. She was matched with Cabarrus Health Alliance where she spent two years as an associate and one year as a data manager.
Lastly, Maddy is a certified Results-Based Accountability™ Professional and lives in Mooresville, NC with her husband and two dogs.
