National Public Health Accreditation

Simplify and Maintain PHAB Accreditation
with Clear Impact Scorecard

Why use a scorecard?

Public health accreditation is beneficial but it’s far from easy. Achieving and maintaining an accredited status requires health departments to develop a process for continuous improvement from the start. Furthermore, you will have a limited amount of time to create and organize the narratives, examples, documents, and plans required to achieve and maintain accreditation.

Clear Impact Scorecard allows public health departments to:

  • Implement a performance management system to fulfill Domain 9
  • Manage public health data
  • Engage in continuous improvement
  • Create and organize documentation for PHAB

Benefits of Accreditation

  • Improve quality and performance
  • Identify strengths and areas for improvement
  • Achieve greater accountability and transparency
  • Increase funding opportunities
  • Strengthen internal and external partnerships

Clear Impact Scorecard “helps programs be accountable for the implementation of specific plans and revisions to the plans when targets are not being met. The entire system promotes and supports quarterly, yearly, and triennial PDCA cycles to improve performance.”

-Terry Bryant, policy and performance manager, NMDOH

The New Mexico Department of Health was awarded five-year national accreditation status on November 10, 2015 from the Public Health Accreditation Board.
