I recently completed the Clear Impact: Results-Based Accountability Training, and I must say it was truly impactful. As someone leading a Performance Management program at Dakota County, where I oversee 223 unique programs/services and manage over 125 people, I found the training to be exceptionally relevant and practical.

One of the key aspects of my role is utilizing the Results Based Accountability (RBA) framework to assess our programs and initiatives. Instead of just measuring outputs like the number of services provided, we focus on outcomes—asking questions like ‘How well did we do it?’ and ‘Is anyone better off?’ This approach allows us to not only evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of our services but also to measure the real impact they have on our clients and communities.

By leveraging the Dakota County Program and Service Inventory (PSI) alongside the RBA framework, we’re able to make data-informed decisions that drive positive change and improve resident outcomes. It’s rewarding to see how these tools empower our team to continuously strive for excellence and accountability in our work.

The concepts and strategies taught in the Clear Impact training have already begun to reshape how I approach problem-solving and decision-making within my organization. The emphasis on setting clear goals, measuring outcomes, and utilizing data-driven approaches align perfectly with our mission to deliver meaningful results for our community.

I am confident that the knowledge and skills gained from this training will significantly enhance our ability to drive positive change and improve outcomes in Dakota County.
