#OBABelfast2016
A Message from Mark Friedman, author of Trying Hard Is Not Good Enough (the principal OBA/RBA text)

Mark FriedmanI am very much looking forward to presenting and participating in the Outcomes and Impact Conference, taking place in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 10th & 11th October.

I first visited NI in 2013 and am delighted to see all the progress made since then in the draft Programme for Government and in the work of local councils and voluntary sector organizations. It is a perfect time to gather together leading practitioners who have used

OBA including Nigel Richardson, Director of Children’s Services in Leeds, Michael McAfee from PolicyLink in Oakland California, Andrew Klein, Budget Director in Baltimore City, and many others. The summit will be an excellent opportunity to ask questions, share stories and inspire each other to keep working toward improvement in the quality of life of our communities and the well-being of those who rely on our services.

Northern Ireland is a beautiful place and you may want to take some extra time to explore the Antrim Coast or some of the finest pubs in the world. Thanks to the National Children’s Bureau and Clear Impact this will be one of the best ever RBA/OBA conferences. And from what I know of the great people of NI, it will also be A LOT OF FUN. I hope to see you there.
