In the Racial Equity Workshop, participants interactively explore, over the course of two days, perspectives on race, racism, and racial and ethnic disparities. With a wealth of historical, economic, and other data, skilled facilitators foster thoughtful analysis and dialogue. Participants typically garner insights that are both profound and practical for understanding and choosing the roles we play when it comes to equity in America, our communities, and our organizations.
Our plan is to have the leaders who attend this first offering of the workshop help enroll other leaders – colleagues and friends – in future offerings of the workshop. We will be holding the workshop on a regular basis (eventually, on a monthly basis) so that leaders who want to attend will be able to find workshop dates that will fit their calendar.
The long-term goal is to have a common understanding and language to support the work of eliminating racial and ethnic disparities and making possible equitable outcomes.
Workshop Details:

We want the workshops to be self-sustaining but we are also committed to making sure that there are funds available to provide subsidies to anyone who cannot afford the cost of attendance. In other words, cost should not be a barrier to attendance. We are volunteering our time and effort to get the workshops launched.
