A recent trip to China to train foundations and nonprofits in the use of Results-Based Accountability (RBA) has resulted in the initial planning stages for a national Chinese event this September and an exclusive Clear Impact Scorecard reseller partnership.

From May 12 – 20 2016, China’s Capacity Building Assessment Center and the Maryland China Center (supported by an ExportMD grant from the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development) hosted an introduction to the Results-Based Accountability framework and Clear Impact Scorecard – two tools being used around the world to improve the performance of government agencies and NGOs, improve the wellbeing of communities, and achieve equity.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs of People’s Republic of China, Peking University, Pioneers for Health Consultancy Center, and many foundations and nonprofits from across China were in attendance at the event. Many of these organizations have committed to trialing the Clear Impact Scorecard – software designed specifically to support the implementation of Results-Based Accountability – over next 6 months.

The purpose of this event was to introduce new tools to Chinese markets, build relationships with key partners, and position the Capacity Building and Assessment Center (CBAC) as Clear Impact’s exclusive reseller partner for China.

“The participants and CBAC staff were very welcoming. Everyone was pleased to see the Results-Based Accountability materials and products translated into Chinese,” says Adam Luecking, CEO of Clear Impact.

The training has garnered attention in the national Chinese media, including an article produced by the People’s Daily. People’s Daily is part of the biggest newspaper group in China, is the official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party, and it has a published circulation of 3-4 million.
